Porting the unity desktop to other distros

Hello! I’m a big fan of unity, it gives me a sense of nostalgia but it is also very intuitive. I’d like to use unity in other distros (for example, arch, linux mint, etc.), but right now it seems to only be available through ubuntu unity, and while ubuntu unity is good, I don’t wanna be restricted to ubuntu. Is it possible for there to be ports of unity?

I know that Unity used to be in Manjaro as a community edition, however, I don’t really know if it is going to be ported. I know there was also work to port to port it to Debian before Unity’s death, however, I don’t really know when it was specifically. I hope it also gets ported to other distros as well, it’s quite a nice user interface.

just would like to +1 this. it would be great to have unity on e.g. arch, arch.arm, especially since this may be an option for the macs then, with asahai linux.

I’m sure some have seen this by now. But if not:
