(Solved)Remove Gnome DE + Gnome Shell from Ubuntu Unity

Hello everyone,
A couple of days ago I thoughtlessly and without any back thought upgraded my Ubuntu Unity 20.04 to 22.04 using the built-in software upgrade utility only to find out that it pulled in a whole lot of Gnome stuff. Now I can chose from various options on the log-in screen, including Wayland session etc.
It’s not that it disturbs me that much, but I really do not need it, not going to use it in future, so, it’s useless.
From my past experience with 14.04 and 16.04 I remember, that it was next to impossible to get rid of Gnome Shell and Gnome DE without breaking Unity due to dependencies. Is it still like that? Or is there any way to remove them? Thank you!

After doing it I can answer myself. :slightly_smiling_face: Googled a bit, made a backup and removed everything I wanted. Naturally ran
sudo apt autoclean && sudo apt autoremove
Doing fine so far. Marking as solved.
